Notes: 2011: Signed with Miami, Dec. 10th...2012: NBA Champion; Re-signed with Miami to a one-year deal worth $762,000, Sept. 10th.
Started all 35 games as a senior for Oklahoma State in 2008-09, placing third on the team with a scoring average of 13.9 ppg...Harris was one of the better shooters on the squad with 48.8 percent accuracy from the floor, converting almost 38 percent of his three-point tries as well...Despite playing out on the perimeter quite a bit, Harris was one of the better rebounders for the team with close to five boards per contest last season, his 61 steals also
helping to cover up the fact that he had just two more assists (67) than turnovers (65)...Also placed third on team in scoring as a junior with 10.5 ppg, but during the course of his 33 appearances and 20 starts, Harris shot a mere 27.7 percent from three-point range and was guilty of almost twice as many miscues (88) as assists (47)...Harris had off-the-court issues the last couple of years, violating unspecified team rules after his junior campaign which prompted head coach Travis Ford to suspend him indefinitely...Also disciplined a year earlier and was arrested and charged with using a fake ID at a local bar in Stillwater...While Harris might have talent, the baggage he brings along might be too much for some to accept. |
