Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Great Lakes Storm center Jackie Butler and Sioux Falls Skyforce guard Alpha Bangura were named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Sunday, December 26 through Saturday, January 1.

Butler averaged 14.3 points and 10 rebounds per game last week, helping the Storm to a 3-1 record. For the season, he ranks second in the league in rebounding (10.3 rpg) and fifth in blocked shots (1.4 bpg).

Bangura, meanwhile, posted averages of 24.5 points and 4.0 boards per outing, as the Skyforce went 2-0 last week.

Other players receiving consideration were Rockford's Brian Lubeck, Gary's Darrin Hancock, Dakota's Billy Keys and Idaho's Sam Clancy.
